Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.
Psalm 119:105 (KJV)
You don’t need a study guide to read the Bible with a friend. A short passage, an open mind and an honest conversation go a long way. Here is a simple rhythm you can use anywhere.
1. Read
Choose a short passage (a story from the Gospels is a good start). Read it aloud, twice, ideally by two different voices.
2. Notice
Each person shares one thing that stood out. No need to explain it yet; just notice.
3. Respond
Ask: What does this show us about Jesus? What might it mean for us this week?
4. Pray
Close by turning what you’ve noticed into a short prayer, for yourselves and for one another.
That’s it. Twenty minutes, once a week, is enough to build something lasting.
